The whole deal behind the picture above is to attract you to this post...not like there's a pile of chocolate cake waiting for you at the end of the post. So back to business,I've been making a lot of research and enquiry into fat loss and foods that promote fat loss, I came up with something interesting...keep readingπ
Recently, (and by recently I mean some months ago :D ) I started a fat loss program that I created myself, I just wanted to test if it would work, and guess what it worked awesomely well.
For the first time in my bodybuilding journey I was able to see the veins around my shoulder and I also noticed the lines in my triceps became obvious anytime I flexed it(my triceps).
...AND I'M GIVING THIS MY 70 DAY FAT LOSS PROGRAM TO ANYONE WHO'S INTERESTED; FOR FREE!!! GET IT HERE !!!
You might also want to find out Foods that promote fat loss!
Now enough about me π π π , one of my female friends was complaining to me the other day about how she almost starves herself just to lose some weight but the funniest thing is she still ends up gaining weight... strange huh!? But it's a real female struggle(losing body fat).
In this post i'm going to try as much as possible to explain why it maybe hard to lose fat for both men and women and highlight some tips and tricks to help you lose those stubborn fat(according to my experience and research).
1)The role of hormones in fat loss: Hormones play a very, very, very key role in fat loss...what am I saying!? Let me break it down for you, according to research when it comes to weight loss, it’s not easy for women. You can thank estrogen for that.
For better or for worse, estrogen is a hormone that stimulates the growth of fat cells, and women have more of it than men(not that men don't have at all).
In addition to stimulating growth of fat cells,
estrogen also does not promote the development of lean muscle mass, (why it takes a lot of time and dedication for women to pack on muscle) which is a key component in increasing metabolism rates and weight loss. Just before you start getting ideas on boosting your testosterone levels, read:
Still finding it hard to burn fats; or are you just looking for a "faster and natural" way? Check out the bottom of this page !
In addition, men need to know that fat cells produce an enzyme called aromatase, which converts testosterone into estrogen.
When this happens, there is a tendency for fat to develop around the abdomen, which in turn increases the risk of heart disease.
2)Not eating in a calorie deficit: You can read more of calorie deficits and the effects here . I wrote about caloric deficits in one of my previous posts and now am going to shed more light on it.
A lot of people confuse a caloric deficit(burning more energy than the calories consumed thereby causing the body to fuel itself with fats deposited around the body) to reducing the amounts of calories consumed/eaten daily.
The latter unfortunately won't burn any fat...let me use an example to explain:
John currently consumes/eats 3000kcal daily and his body only uses 2000kcal daily for his energy needs leaving room for a 1000kcal surplus ;now John is in a calorie surplus(which means he'll be putting on weight). John decides to change his lifestyle and goes on a diet...he now consumes a rough 2000kcal to 2100kcal daily, while he burns the same 2000kcal...now most people will argue that those figures will maintain a stable bodyweight for John, how about days weekends when he's less active?!
Now you can see why John is just fetching Water into a basket...!
Tips I promised: A calorie deficit is only a calorie deficit when you're eating/consuming less calories than your body makes use of/burns/turns into energy.
Let's put into consideration you don't know how to count calories you can always reduce how much calories you eat/consume (roughly) and then WORK more or harder (this can range from lifting heavier weights at the gym, extending the time used to workout, doing more streinous work and so on).
Anything that keeps you on the go and makes your body require more energy, this is especially for women who are having trouble getting rid of fat.
And if you're scared you'll lose your precious muscle gains you've worked very hard for, just consume more lean protein! Keep at it until you get your desired result( a leaner physique) .
Don't get me wrong a calorie deficit will burn fat but mixing it wih my tip above will help burn more plus you don't need to count calories with my tip.
I'm currently working on sharing my fat loss program with anyone that's interested. I'll let y'all know when it's ready. I hope you find this post helpful, you can always leave a comment and ill get back to you

The imbalance of oestrogen and testosterone can have a range of negative effects on women’s health and weight. For instance, it can lead to a common condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS. In a 10-year observational study published in the journal it was reported that obesity and greater weight gain are associated with PCOS status. Higher testosterone levels in women also increase risk of cardiovascular disease, especially when transitioning through menopause .Men have ten times the amount of testosterone than women. In some cases, men may suffer from low testosterone, also called hypogonadism, which can lead to weight gain.
