Steps on how to get rid of stretch marks ( home remedies )

By the Tee Rex
Having stretch marks can be a drag in some cases!
Hello there ,hope you're having a great day? Today I want to shed some light on stretch marks caused by working out or bodybuilding and share home remedies on how to prevent and even stop it from spreading throughout the affected parts and cause them to fade (by using natural means it's almost impossible to make them disappear completely).

Stretch marks, medically known as striae distensae , may occur during various phases of life, some may be related to increased cortisol (a hormone produced by the adrenal glands) secretion or be associated with increased body mass (it's direct relationship with bodybuilding).

The most common cause of stretch marks is pregnancy, and pregnancy-associated stretch marks are medically known as striae gravidarum . At some point the rapid growth of the baby may play a role in their development, but alas, not all pregnancies produce stretch marks.

They often look like claw marks...
A relationship between pregnancy, obesity, and increased stretch marks has been reported. Basically, the stretching of the skin with weight gain might cause the scars (stretch marks), the only reason it has been observed in people who experience a rapid increase in muscle mass with weight lifting.

Taking some medications, such as corticosteroids like prednisone, may also produce stretch marks. There is some controversy over the precise mechanism by which striae occur.

Stretch marks occur in the DERMIS, the resilient middle tissue layer that helps the skin retain its shape. These changes appear to be induced by excessive physical stretching of the skin. There are a number of clinical situations which will predispose the skin to the formation of striae.

These include rapid and excessive increase in body mass, the excessive use of topical or systemic glucocorticoid drugs (steroids), Cushing's disease (overproduction of glucocorticoids by the adrenal gland), puberty, excessively large breast implants, and pregnancy.

Stretch marks appear in different parts of the body including the chest area, the stomach, the hips, around the thighs, arms (there's a guy at the gym where I used to go who had these!) even on the back ,which I would say is less common.

⚪ How to prevent stretch marks
There's this old saying "... prevention is better than cure"; it's spot on!. By keeping your skin hydrated, you can help keep the ELASTIN that your skin needs to keep from scarring. Using topical creams such as cocunut oil, will keep your skin moisturized and make stretch marks less likely.
Even without treatment, almost all stretch marks will fade over time. Rarely will stretch marks stay as prominent as when they initially appear.

⚪ How to get rid of them:

1) ALOE VERA
Aloe vera is effective in the treatment of many skin problems. Its healing and soothing properties can be used to get rid of stretch marks.
You can directly rub aloe vera gel on the affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse the skin with lukewarm water. Get a discount when you buy this aloe very gel using this link, with great reviews online!

2) CASTOR OIL
Castor oil, which is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems such as wrinkles, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines and pimples, can also be used to help in the fading of stretch marks.
Apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth.      Using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the affected area for at least a half an hour.Repeat this process daily for a minimum of one month to notice positive results.

3) EGG WHITES
For stretch marks, you want to use only the egg whites ( the white part of the egg that surrounds the yoke) which contain amino acids and proteins.
Whip the whites of two eggs gently with a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a makeup brush.Allow the egg whites to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water. Finally apply some olive oil on the skin to keep it moisturized.Repeat the process daily for at least two weeks and watch for positive results.

4) SUGAR
Ever heard of microdermabrasion , me neither, first time for everything right...?! Microdermabrasion performed by a dermatologist is one of the few clinically proven methods to make stretch marks fade. So this home remedy seems worth a try. Rubbing a sugar scrub on the skin will exfoliate the area.
Mix one cup sugar with 1/4 cup of a softening agent, like almond oil or coconut oil, before mixing to the consistency of wet beach sand. Add some lemon juice. Scrub the mixture on the part of your body where the stretch marks are. Repeat several times a week while in the shower, making sure to rub the mixture on for 8-10 minutes.

5) VITAMIN A
Vitamin A is referred to as a retinoid.Retinoids make skin appear more smooth and youthful.A diet rich in certain foods, such as carrots and sweet potatoes ,which are enriched in Vitamin a.
Simply using a topical extract of vitamin A, or taking vitamin A orally, can contribute to your skin’s health and overall appearance.

I would also recommend you try stretch mark creams . These creams consists of a blend of most of the natural sources listed above. Luckily for you I have handpicked some of the best creams with great reviews online. Try Arabica,
